Gilles-Eric Séralini’s research has focused most recently on the health effects of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), with the controversial results published in September in the scientific journal "Food and Chemical Toxicology", and for a wider audience in his book "Tous Cobayes" (All Guinea Pigs). The first long-term study of the effect of GMOs and pesticides on the health of rats, the results, indicating higher levels of cancer and increased mortality, have created a tremor throughout the agri-business community.
