Jan Aart Scholte is Professor in PAIS and Professorial Research Fellow in the Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation (CSGR) at the University of Warwick. He is also Academic Lead of the University's Global Research Priorities in Global Governance. His main research covers globalisation, global governance, civil society in global politics, and global democracy.

Shimri Zameret holds a postgraduate degree in Global Politics from the London School of Economics. He has worked as a journalist, a researcher, a legislation adviser for a Palestinian member of the Israeli Parliament and as a communication and advocacy officer for several grassroots organisations. He helped organise G8 counter-summits in Germany, Italy and Japan. In recent years he has worked with different civil society groups in Asia, Africa and Europe, to promote the democratisation of global governance.
