The vision behind Creating Hope International (CHI) is of improving the daily lives of the under-served, often silent victims of world strife, devastating natural disasters, crumbling economies, and political systems which suppress natural human rights. CHI provides technical assistance, financial support and acts as fiscal sponsor for local NGOs around the world. Presently, CHI supports the Afghan Institute of Learning, hybrid social entrepreneurial health and education projects in Afghanistan, and the Yungdrung Bon Monastic Centre for Tibetan refugees in India.
The Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL) was founded in 1995 by Dr. Sakena Yacoobi and plays an important role in reconstructing education and health systems in Afghanistan. AIL runs medical clinics as well as Learning centers which offer preschool through secondary and income generating skills classes. AIL helps people by providing them with the skills to take care of themselves and their families. Education is the key to improving people's lives and communities.
