Dr. David Li Daokiu is Professor of Economics, Director of Center for China in the World Economy at the Tsinghua University, in Beijing. Since spring, he is one of the three Economists to be named in March 2010, as academic member of the monetary policy committee of the People Bank Of China. He lives in Beijing with his wife and two children.
After his graduation in Tsinghua School of Economics and Management, he took his PhD from Harvard University in 1992. He has also held the following positions: Visiting Scholar at the Center for International Development (CID) of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard (1986), Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Research Fellow at Hoover Institute of the Stanford University, and Professor and Deputy Director of the Economic Development Research Center of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
